Gloria Estefan May Play Santana's Mother on Glee 

Pop star Gloria Estefan is in talks to appear on Glee as the supportive mother of out cheerleader Santana (Naya Rivera), reports Entertainment Weekly.

In this week's episode of the musical hit, viewers were introduced to Santana’s grandmother, who revealed she disapproves of her granddaughter’s sexual orientation. Santana claims that her parents (not yet seen on the series), however, are supportive of their daughter’s coming-out. 

EW says its source revealed that the entire Glee cast is “really really big fans of hers and we love her music and her husband’s music” and plan to feature some of Estefan’s music as well as some other bilingual tunes in the episode expected to air in next month.

Estefan, a longtime ally to the LGBT community, explained her controversial decision to partner with department store chain Target here.
